Eden is a member of the Evangelical Covenant Church Denomination. The ECC is a multiethnic movement of 875 congregations in the United States and Canada with ministries on five continents of the world. The ECC values the Bible as the word of God, the gift of God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ, the call to extend God’s love to a hurting world, and the strength that comes from unity within diversity.

  • we worship God through forms that blend ancient with future, gathering as a multi-generational family that appreciates and honors our differences.

  • we help people become followers of Jesus, grow spiritually and find their God-given purpose as the study of the Bible is woven into the fabric of our personal and community life.

  • intentional spaces and structures are designed for consistent spiritual growth and leadership development for children, young adults and adults at all stages of their journey with God.

What We Believe:

Rooted in Scripture, centered on Christ.

The immigrants who founded the Covenant were products of a trans-Atlantic evangelical renewal movement that emphasized life in the Spirit over rigid confessions. Valuing genuine devotion over empty ritual, they viewed personal faith as evidence of a vital relationship with Jesus Christ - and asked each other, "How goes your walk with Jesus?" and "What do the Scriptures say?"

While the Covenant is non confessional, we take our theology and our history seriously, and we value the early creeds. Our common Christian affirmations are that we are an apostolic, catholic, Reformation, and evangelical church. In that heritage, we share central Christian beliefs, which draw us together in faith and fellowship and make possible a freedom among us on more widely ranging issues.

As an Evangelical Covenant Church, we affirm:

  • The centrality of the Word of God.

  • The necessity of the new birth.

  • A commitment to the whole mission of the Church.

  • The Church as a fellowship of believers.

  • A conscious dependence on the Holy Spirit.

  • The reality of freedom in Christ.
