Have you ever had your life all planned out?
Maybe you pictured a certain career, a certain family, or a certain timeline. Then life happened. Plans changed. Doors opened that you never expected, and others closed that you thought would never shut.
In those moments, it's easy to wonder, "God, are we there yet?"
The people of Israel knew that feeling well. They waited for generations, wondering when God would keep His promise to send the Messiah.
Then Galatians 4:4 says, "But when the right time came, God sent His Son..."
Not when people expected. Not when they demanded. At just the right time.
As we'll see together on Sunday, God wasn't late. While His people were waiting, He was preparing.
When Jesus came, He didn't come simply to give us more rules to follow. He came to make a way for us to come home and to be welcomed into God's family as His sons and daughters.
As you prepare for worship tomorrow, spend a few minutes with these questions:
Where in your life are you asking God, "Are we there yet?"
Is there something you're struggling to trust Him with?
What would it look like to rest in the fact that God's timing is always purposeful, even when it's hard to see?
Read Galatians 4:1–7 before tomorrow, and join us as we discover what it means to move from training wheels to the Father's house.
Trusting God's Timing,
Pastor Hannah
Prayer: Father, thank You for always keeping Your promises. Help me trust Your timing, even when I don't understand it. Thank You for making a way for me to come home through Jesus. Amen.
